Group Tour

The most effective way of achieving interfaith harmony is to go on a group tour together to visit various religions in different countries. Faith leaders are generally busy with their own work and have little time to meet. It is only on such a group tour that everything can be set aside. By staying together for over ten days, everyone becomes like brothers and sisters. This is opportunistic education. Group touring is thus most effective and such events should be organised regularly as it not only facilitates the unity of one's group, but can also help the religious and ethnic groups of other countries and regions to attain interfaith and intercultural harmony.

Establishing Courses on Moral Ethics and Virtue and Compiling Scriptures 360

According to Venerable Master Chin Kung, interfaith harmony cannot be just a formality. It must be based on friendship, the study and learning of each other's religious teachings. Thus, it is recommended that the first step is to establish courses on moral ethics and virtue. Each religion can extract 360 passages on moral ethics, virtue and causality from their own scriptures, for use as teaching materials. At the same time, disseminating such 360 texts enables everyone to understand religion, learn and care about religion and believe in religion! This will resolve social conflicts and promote world peace and harmony.

A multicultural events centre could be established - equipped with offices for the educational seminars for each religious group, and lecture halls and mutual learning. An Institute of Religions could then be established to develop fine teachers of each religion and the teaching staff for a university of religions. The university would be comprised of a faculty for each religion. With the clergy of each religion as fellow alumni, they would be like one family. A satellite television station could be set up to broadcast the educational seminars of each religion internationally. “Many Faiths One Humanity” is certain to become a reality through a renewal of religious education, mutual learning among religions, mutual respect, care and support. Together, we shall make the Earth our beautiful and harmonious home.
